VoxType.pro is designed around controlled, privacy-conscious captioning. Here's how your data is handled.
No audio stored by default
VoxType.pro does not intentionally store microphone audio unless a future recording feature is explicitly enabled by you. Speech recognition is processed through your browser or operating system, and audio handling depends on the provider your browser uses.
Transcripts are opt-in
Transcript storage is not enabled silently. You choose whether to save session transcripts, and you can clear them at any time from the transcript workspace.
Clear session data when you choose
You can clear individual sessions or all transcript data from your workspace. Clearing removes the stored text from your organization's records.
About speech recognition
Real-time transcription in VoxType.pro is powered by your browser\'s built-in speech recognition capabilities (such as the Web Speech API). Depending on your browser and operating system, speech may be processed locally on your device or sent to a third-party service. VoxType.pro does not guarantee that all processing occurs on-device in every browser. Check your browser\'s documentation for details on how it handles speech data.
